Local Country Singer/Songwriters “in the Round” featuring Jovon Newman,Tre Myers, Taylor Wallace and Sol Knopf
Jovon Newman, a remarkable talent from the state of Delaware, is making waves in the country music scene. He has shared the stage with notable artists, including LANCO, Chris Lane, George Birge, Jimmie Allen, Drake Milligan, Chase Matthew, and many more. His music has captured the attention of local radio stations and newspapers, marking him as an emerging star.
Jovon’s 2022 debut single, “Certified,” was awarded Best Country Americana Song of the Year at the Delaware Public Media Awards, highlighting a significant achievement in his career. His release, “Lovin You Back,” was nominated for Best Country Song of the Year for 2023. Jovon appeared on the TV show “Second Chance Stage”, which premiered on HBO Max in fall 2024. His music has gained international acclaim in over 10 countries, with a TikTok following of over 110k.
In addition to his music career, Jovon continues to serve as a firefighter and recruiter with the Delaware Air National Guard, where he has dedicated ten years of service. His unwavering commitment to his family, country and musical pursuits is both commendable and inspirational.
Tre Myers is a local singer/songwriter from Bowers Beach, Del. Tre has been performing professionally since August of 2022 and since then has played a couple hundred gigs. Tre’s passion for traditional country music started at an early age when he began listening to artists such as Billy Currington, Randy Travis and George Strait. Music has always been a part of Tre’s life, he was involved in his school’s chorus, musicals and his high school’s men’s vocal jazz. Tre also works full-time installing underground utilities. However when not working construction, you can find him playing cover songs and original music acoustically at restaurants and venues across Delmarva.
Sol Knopf is an award winning singer/songwriter and solo performer from the state of Delaware in the USA. He is a 2022 inductee into the Delaware Rock n Roll Society’s Hall of Fame. Sol is best known for his distinctive baritone voice and timeless original songs. His moving single “My Baby Girl” became one of the most requested, independently released, father/daughter dance songs across the USA and abroad in 2016.
With over 7,000 performances in his career, Sol has been a mainstay in the Delaware music scene for 40 + years. One of the few full-time musicians in Delaware over that span.
Taylor Wallace is a rising star in the local country music scene, known for her soulful voice and heartfelt songwriting. Taylor discovered her passion for music at a young age, drawing inspiration from the storytelling traditions of classic country artists.
With a unique blend of traditional roots and modern sensibilities, Taylor’s music resonates with audiences seeking authenticity and emotional depth. Her debut single “Home” has garnered acclaim for its touching lyrics and infectious melody, establishing Taylor as a promising talent to watch.
