Spotlight Delaware is busting the myth that “Delaware is boring.” From Claymont to Delmar, the First State is packed with hidden gems: historic landmarks, beautiful natural landscapes, unexpected art exhibits, lively libraries, and more—all within a two-hour drive.

On September 26, more than 15 attractions statewide will open their doors with free admission and special programming, inviting you to experience what makes Delaware such a vibrant, unique place to live and explore.

First State Fun Day is your chance to break out of your routine and discover something new to love about Delaware—whether it’s practically in your backyard or tucked away in a town you’ve never visited.

Ready to join the fun? Register in advance on Eventbrite. Then before the big day, scan the QR code for your digital passport – no app required! Use your passport to check in at the places you visit. And if you check in at least once, you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a prize!

Agricultural Museum & Village

The Bowers Beach Maritime Museum houses artifacts of Bowers, the Delaware Bay and the watermen of the area, and is home to the annual Bowers Beach Buccaneer Bash.

First State Heritage Park
