Laps for Charity

Overview

For $75 per vehicle, participants can take five group laps around the track behind a Dover Motor Speedway pace vehicle. Those seeking a more unique experience can purchase an eight-lap VIP session for $125, giving participants the opportunity to be the only car on the track behind a track vehicle. Additional add-ons of pace car rides ($50) and pictures in front of the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza ($25) are also available.

Appropriate rollover protection is encouraged for convertibles, cabriolets, and open-top vehicles. This includes T-tops, Targa tops, fixed roll bars, fixed roll cages, and roll bars that automatically deploy in the event of a collision or rollover. Drivers and passengers in vehicles with their tops down should consider wearing eye protection, such as glasses or sunglasses.

Not permitted: Motorcycles, trikes, slingshots, or other all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).

Event Rules:

• Drivers must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
• All participants must sign an event waiver in order to participate.
• All passengers must wear their seatbelt.
• No alcohol is allowed.
• Vehicles must be street legal.
• Drivers must follow the speed set by the pace car.
• Cars must remain single file… ABSOLUTELY NO PASSING!

100% of proceeds from this family-friendly event will benefit Speedway Children’s Charities, whose mission is to help children in need.

Participants are encouraged to pre-register their vehicles at https://www.speedwaycharities.org/dover/. Walk-up registrants will be accepted as space allows, though early registrants will receive priority access to the track. Directions, track access points, session times and additional event details will be shared with participants closer to each event date.
