Overview

Next Upcoming Date:
Thursday, September 18, 2025
Join us for an unforgettable evening as OperaDelaware makes its debut performance at the historic Schwartz Center for the Arts in the heart of Dover, Delaware!

You’ll be swept away by thrilling arias and scenes, performed unamplified by world-class opera singers—up close and personal, the way opera was meant to be experienced.
This is a ticketed event; cost is $40 per person. Purchase tickets on the Opera Delaware website.

More about the performance:

Experience the wild heart of the American West in La fanciulla del West, where a strong-willed saloon owner risks everything for love. Feel the devastating beauty of Madama Butterfly, a poignant story of love, betrayal, and resilience set in Nagasaki. And be swept away by the raw passion and political intrigue of Tosca, where love and sacrifice collide in the streets of Rome. Performances feature a stunning string quartet led by pianist/conductor Husan Chun-Novak.

SPECIAL TREAT FOR THE FIRST 100 TICKET BUYERS:
Before the curtain rises, step into a one-of-a-kind pre-show mixer from 6:30–7:30 PM. Enjoy delicious bites, lively conversation, and interactive question cards placed throughout the room—designed to spark curiosity, foster new connections, and make networking feel effortless. Whether you’re an opera fan, a first-timer, or just looking for a unique night out, this is the perfect place to meet new people and expand your circle in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

Don’t miss this unforgettable portrait of operatic storytelling at its most personal in the beautiful Schwartz Center in Dover.
