Friends of Folk Concert: Skyler Cumbia

Overview

“I am a singer/songwriter and music therapist. I am originally from Virginia, but have been based out of Wilmington, Delaware since April 2020.

​I am a multi-instrumentalist who enjoys many genres of music, but will most often be found playing folk and pop music with an occasional jazz standard. I became involved in the music scene of Wilmington and the surrounding areas through open mics and gigging at coffee shops, breweries, and music festivals. (Check out my Shows page for more info!)

From connections made through those experiences, I was able to record and release an EP of original music this year! The music I write is influenced and inspired by my experiences and thoughts on life, international travels, love of nature, and much more. It is my hope to continue recording original music in the coming years! Check out my home page for more info on ways to purchase my music and support my future musical endeavors! “

The Old State House concert series is presented by Delaware Friends of Folk. These events are supported by a grant from the Kent County Fund for the Arts, an organization that aims to enhance the quality of life, educate, and broaden perspectives by supporting the arts and arts organizations in Kent County. Support is also provided by the First State Heritage Park, a partnership of State and City agencies under the leadership of Delaware State Parks.
