Smyrna Rest Area and Information Center

Smyrna Car and Bus rest stop for travelers North and South bound off Rt. 1 and on Rt. 13.

Stop in for a bathroom break, a quick snack from the vending machines, and information on local attractions! If you don’t already have one, this is a great place to pick up a copy of our Visit Central Delaware official Visitors Guide. 

On the grounds of the Smyrna Rest Area, there is a large picnic area with cooking grills, a covered pavilion, a playground, a pet walking trail (for leashed pets), a fenced-in dog park, and the Memorial Garden.

The Delaware Highway Memorial Garden is a winding path lined with bricks that are engraved with the names of those who died on the state’s highways. The garden features a pond, native plants and flowers, and benches for those wishing to visit and honor a lost friend or family member.
