Overview

The northernmost state forest in Delaware, Blackbird totals more than 5,400 acres, and features a mix of oak, yellow-poplar, maple, gum, and hickory trees which blanket the area. Lush flowering trees and shrubs dot the trails, providing breathtaking, scenic woodlands. Blackbird boasts 40 miles of trails; with 10 different trail options, so you can indulge in nature – at your own pace. Plus, Blackbird State Forest is home to a 2,200-foot paved nature trail designed for wheelchair accessibility.
