Overview

Next Upcoming Date:
Saturday, October 4, 2025

Family letters, photos, and home videos are often a treasured piece of family history, connecting generations of today to generations of the past.

Join us for a presentation and discussion with a few Delaware Public Archives Processing Archivists to learn more about caring for these items. Materials that will be discussed include paper documents, books, VHS tapes, audio cassettes, CD/DVDs, digital media, and 19th- and 20th-century photographs. The presentation will provide information about common causes of deterioration, as well as tips for storing and handling these materials.

Presenters: Katie Bacu, Steven D’Avria, Lindsay Townsend
