Discover a new way to experience the Biggs Museum with our Open Read in the Galleries! This special monthly full-day event invites you to enjoy the gallery atmosphere in a completely unique way—by bringing your favorite book to read while surrounded by stunning works of art. Whether you’re looking to lose yourself in a captivating novel or simply enjoy a quiet moment of reflection, Gallery Reads offers the perfect blend of literature and culture.
Take your time to explore the galleries, find a cozy corner, and immerse yourself in a world of words and creativity. Bring your friends, family, or even a fellow book lover to share the experience. It’s an opportunity to enjoy the museum differently and make reading part of your art appreciation.
Please be respectful of the artwork and the museum environment while enjoying your reading. For a more comfortable experience, please speak with our museum staff about appropriate spaces for reading, and they will be happy to guide you.
