Overview

Next Upcoming Date:
Saturday, September 6, 2025

Also known as “the ride for pie” this is one of the region’s favorite cycling events known for its unique character and atmosphere.

Routes of 16, 25, 50, 62, and 100 miles will leave from Legislative Mall, 410 Legislative Ave., Dover, DE, and wind through central Delaware’s peaceful (and flat!) Amish countryside. Featuring unique scenery, friendly volunteers, pie and fun for all. This ride is perfect for your first century!

This is not a timed event or race.

Motor vehicles are not restricted on the routes of the Amish Country Bike Tour. Follow all rules of the road. Never cross a yellow line, not even to pass.

To promote safety and relieve congestion, a staggered police escorted start based on distance is scheduled out of Dover:

7:00 am 100 mile riders
7:30 am 62 mile riders
8:00 am 50 mile riders
8:30 am 25 mile riders
9:00 am 16 mile riders

Leaving prior to your designated starting time is not recommended. Staggered start times are designed to reduce road congestion and ensure that rest stops are open at appropriate times.  All participants must have completed their ride by 5 pm.

Up to 5 rest stops are included, depending upon distance: Harvest Ridge Winery (MaryDel), Painted Stave Distillery (Smyrna), Felton Little League (Felton) and Emanuel AME Church (Hartly), depending on distance, but all routes stop at the Amish Schoolhouse (Dover), where you’ll enjoy our famous, fresh, locally-baked pie.

Following the bike tour, everyone returns to Legislative Mall for your catered lunch (included in your ride purchase) from one of our fabulous food trucks and non-alcoholic beverages, adult beverages (with purchased tickets) entertainment with Glass Onion, DJ, merchandise sales and a variety of vendors, All the extra fun (except your piece of pie and ride) is held on Legislative Mall (410 Legislative Ave) in historic downtown Dover, Delaware. Most vendors will accept credit/debit cards and cash.

Lunch Menus will be posted to AmishCountryBikeTour.com as soon as they are available
Registered participants are also invited to join one of two scheduled free Club rides on Sunday following the event. Sign up during registration.

Pre-ordered 2025 Jerseys, T-shirts, socks, commemorative wine bottles, bike tags, and adult beverage tickets will be available at packet pickup on the 5th and 6th. Limited merchandise will be available in the merch tent on Friday during pickup hours and Saturday until 3 pm
