Overview

The Milford Museum was established in 1983 in the original Post Office building in downtown Milford. The structure is owned by the State’s Division of Historical & Cultural Affairs, and operated by a Commission of the City of Milford. Permanent exhibitions include local historic events from the 1700’s to the present, shipbuilding, and local businesses. Admission to the Museum is free. We encourage young and old, school groups and civic organizations to visit and enjoy learning about Milford’s history. We actively seek items relating to Milford’s history, so that they can be preserved and exhibited for future generations.
