Today, a Valentine often comes from the drug store accompanied by a stuffed animal or box of chocolates. Step back in time with First State Heritage Park to the Romantic Period and create your own valentine or Victorian Puzzle Purse while learning about the history of valentines, courtship, and Victorian love languages! Leave with a fan and your own guide to those secret and sometimes tricky fan languages! Tickets are $30 per person and program starts at 6 pm at the John Bell House. Ticket includes hands-on instruction on the creation of a Puzzle Purse, a fan, and booklet with some of the Victorians’ secrets! Register online. $30 per person
